School Field Trip Experience Information

Special Field Trips - Fall 2008

Teddy Bear Care
Recommended for Grades PreK-2
Dates: Oct. 6, Nov. 10 or Dec. 8
Length: 1.5 hours
Cost: $6/student

Bring your favorite stuffed friend and explore our Teddy Bear Clinic with station-based activities specifically designed for the early childhood audience.  This interactive, educator-led, TEKS-based field trip experience will highlight the body, nutrition, physical fitness and healthy habits.  Tour the Amazing Body Pavilion and finish up your field trip by learning basic safety lessons with our live puppet show Perry Medix and the Sirens!

Occupation Investigation: Sports!
Career Series - Recommended for Grades 6 and up
Dates: Sept. 17, Oct. 22 or Nov. 19
Length: 2.5 hours
Cost: $6/student

Expand your horizons during an interactive panel discussion where you'll find out about sports-related careers from a variety of professionals.  This field trip includes access to permanent exhibition halls, including the Amazing Body Pavilion and YOU: The Exhibit, and a 4D film experience.  An optional dissection demonstration ($2/student) or self-guided tour of our special exhibition ($1/student) may be added.
